Aspiring start up Recyclabook Ltd funded by Brooks Newmark MP on GrowthInvest.

At GrowthInvest we are pleased to have worked closely with Brooks Newmark MP in making his first SEIS investment in Recyclabook Ltd.

Brooks Newmark, Conservative MP for Braintree, and former Senior Partner at Apollo Management LP, is the Governments lead supporter of the SEIS scheme. Designed to help boost economic growth in the UK through the promotion of entrepreneurship, the SEIS scheme aims to help SME’s obtain funding that has previously been a struggle through other mediums such as bank loans.  The SEIS scheme also offers generous tax benefits to investors while simultaneously encouraging investment in UK early stage businesses.

Recyclabook Ltd have been successful in securing their initial investment from Brooks Newmark MP after exceeding forecasts in their recent proof of concept. The business far surpassed their expectations on both the value of books bought and sold.

“As someone who is a keen advocate of the SEIS initiative, I am delighted to make my first SEIS investment in Recyclabook Ltd and look forward to working with Tom and James” Brooks Newmark MP.

Recyclabook Ltd provides an innovative and award- winning book selling services aimed specifically at students. The service aims to buy used textbooks from students who no longer need them, and sell them onto new students at highly competitive prices; prices which promise to beat all other textbook providers.

“We’re incredibly happy to have secured investment from someone like Brooks, who is so well established and understands the problems that start up businesses face. Working with the guys at GrowthInvest we we’re able to get funding not just when we needed it, but from the right individual.
