Amati AIM VCT (the “Company”) in years prior to the Covid-19 pandemic has taken much pleasure in running an Investor Event alongside the statutory process of an AGM, inviting representatives from portfolio companies to present, and holding the Amati Guildhall Creative Entrepreneurs Award.
In 2020 due to the Covid-19 situation and the restrictions on both travel and gatherings, the Board had to make the decision to limit the AGM to the minimum to satisfy legal requirements. In 2021 with the uncertainty continuing to prevail, the Board has reluctantly decided again to limit the AGM to statutory business only.
The AGM will therefore be held this year on 9 June 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Manager’s office, 8 Coates Crescent, Edinburgh EH3 7AL and will be limited to statutory business only. The Board encourages all shareholders to exercise their votes in advance of the meeting either by post, or by the online voting service offered by the Company’s registrar, the City Partnership (UK) Ltd. Details of this service are detailed in the letter from the Chairman outlining a change in Registrar due to be sent out to shareholders on 14 May. The last day for proxy votes to be received by the City Partnership is no later than 2pm on 7 June 2021.
The Board and the Manager would like to invite shareholders to attend an online Investor Event, to take place on 27 May 2021 at 2.00 pm to be held over Zoom. The purpose is twofold: for the Board to address questions that shareholders may have on the statutory business of the Company; and for the Manager to present to shareholders and respond to questions. In addition, there will be presentations by companies in which the VCT has invested.
Shareholders are asked to email the Manager at email@example.com to indicate that they would like to join the event and will be sent login details in reply to their emails.
The Board wishes to encourage shareholders to engage with the Board and give shareholders an opportunity to ask questions by inviting them to email any questions relating to the business of the AGM to firstname.lastname@example.org by 24 May 2021. The Directors will respond to the questions at the Investor Event and there will also be an opportunity to submit questions during the event.
