Professional Adviser Multi-Asset Working Lunches – Knutsford
- On March 5, 2019 12:30 PM
Tuesday 5th March, 12:00-14:30
The Mere Golf & Country Club, Chester Road, Mere, Knutsford, WA16 6LJ
in partnership with Orbis Investments
- What is the best approach to multi-asset in a seemingly precarious market? Is there one? What of top-down asset allocation vs. a bottom-up approach?
- Should we look at risk through another lens? Is it all about volatility or do clients look at risk more in terms of ‘will I lose money?
- How does one manage the many challenges we face today where the only certainty is uncertainty?
These will be the key questions under discussion in the upcoming series of Professional Adviser / Orbis Investments working lunches where – in the space of a couple of hours – attendees will have the opportunity to hear the thoughts of Henry Allen, lead investment counsellor at Orbis Investments, and Peter Toogood, chief investment officer at the Adviser Centre.
Looking at risk through a different lens, we invite our audience to challenge their perspective on risk. Is it ‘will I lose money’ or standard deviation? In today’s environment, only those who adapt will survive and thrive but to do so requires patience and a willingness to take a different perspective to investing.
As the name implies, all of this happens over a three-course, sit-down lunch, thereby also affording the dozen or so attendees per venue the chance to network with their peers from other adviser firms in the area. This series of Professional Adviser Working Lunches, run in association with Orbis Investments, will take place in Knutsford, Leeds, Sevenoaks and Bristol on, respectively, 5, 6, 7 and 8 March 2019. This event is CPD accredited by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) for 2.5 structured CPD hours.
