Creating a Proposal

This guide looks at Making an Investment, via the GrowthInvest platform, including creating a “proposal”. This is the term that we use to cover all stages of the investment journey: from the initial application right through to the investment appearing in the client portfolio.

Either review the clients profile 01:12: page or speak to a member of our team for further information. 01:17: Now we must add the required information about the investment. 01:21: First note if a client has received advice on the upcoming investment. 01:26: Click here to record the proposed investment amount. 01:29: On the pop out note, how fees should be charged along with the amount to be invested. 01:35: If relevant record any initial intermediary fees being charged on the Investment 01:39: either as a percentage or a monetary figure. 01:43: Then please enter any relevant ongoing intermediary fees due to be applied. 01:49: Note the relevant options for source of funds. 01:52: If needed add any additional information you'd like to include with the application. 01:57: When complete to save and submit the investment? Click create proposal Application 02:02: forms will be automatically generated and will be sent for digital signature 02:06: via docusign. 1. Select a Product

On the Offers page, available via the Investments tab, you are able to review all available offers. To view a specific product’s offer page, click the chosen product’s name.

2. Offer Page

Comprehensive information on each investment is available on the Offer page. A detailed summary sits alongside Key Information in the table on the right-hand side, as well as all relevant investment documents. The information displayed on the Offer page is taken from fund manager documentation and other 3rd party resources.

3. Click “Invest”

If you are ready to invest into the product, please Click the “Invest” button.

4. Select an Authorised Investor

The “Investor” dropdown will include a list of your clients who have authorised GrowthInvest accounts. If your client is not listed, their account is not yet marked as authorised meaning either their account is with our custodian for processing, or there is information missing on their account. Either review the client’s Profile page, or speak to a member of our team for further information.

Now we must add the required information about the investment.

6. Has the Client Received Advice?

First note if a client has received advice on the upcoming investment.

7. Enter the Proposed Investment Amount

8. Amount to Be Invested

On the pop-out, note how fees should be charged along with the amount to be invested. Fees Added means all fees applied to the investment will be added on top of the investment amount. Fees Deducted means all fees being charged on the investment will be deducted from the investment amount.

9. Initial Adviser Fees

If relevant, record any initial intermediary fees being charged on the investment, either as a percentage or a monetary figure.

10. Ongoing Adviser Fees

Then, please enter any relevant ongoing intermediary fees due to be applied.

11. Payment Facilitation

For both the initial and ongoing adviser fee, there is the option to change who facilitates this payment. While the recommended option will be pre-selected, the following options are available: Facilitated by provider means the payment will be organised and facilitated by the relevant provider. Facilitated by platform means the payment will be organised by the GrowthInvest team and facilitated via the platform. Direct from the client means the payment is taken directly from the client and organised away from both the platform and provider.

12. Source of Funds

Note the relevant options for source of funds.

13. Total Amounts Explained

In this highlighted section, we can see four figures. Total Amount Including Fees is the total application amount plus all fees included. Cleared Funds Required is the total amount that the client is required to transfer, to their GrowthInvest account to cover the investment plus all fees. Application Amount is the amount that is stated on the application form and sent to the provider for investment. This will include any initial or ongoing fees facilitated by the provider. Total Subscription Amount is the amount invested by the provider, net of any initial or ongoing fees that are facilitated by the provider.

14. Additional information

If needed, add any additional information you’d like to include with the application.

15. Click “Create Proposal”

When complete, to save and submit the investment click “Create Proposal”. To note, if the button is greyed out, please make sure all sections are closed and saved. Application forms will be automatically generated and will be sent for digital signature via DocuSign, first to the adviser and then to the client. To note, our team run automated, as well as manual spot-checks, on applications and proposals. Our team may therefore, reach out during the process to clarify any anomalies or inconsistencies.

16. Next Steps

The application confirmation page can be used to navigate to the Proposal Kanban, where investments can be tracked and monitored. Or, click “Maybe Later” to remain on the offer page.
