Episode 1 of the GrowthInvest Adviser Hour was streamed live from the Capital Connection studios in the heart of the City of London on Thursday the 22nd February. The inaugural show of the series was a great success, with host Lawrence Gosling leading a wide ranging and insightful discussion with a panel of industry experts, comprising of guests Andrew Castell from Par Equity, John Glencross from Calculus Capital, Mark Brownridge from the EIS Association and Declan McAndrew from Foster Denovo.
The panel explored a number of key areas facing advisers in the tax efficient marketplace, and examined the impact of recent regulation that pushes growth investment firmly into the forefront. Each guest then had an individual interview, with John Glencross and Andrew Castell providing some further background on their funds and insight on their investment and due diligence approach. Due diligence was also a key theme in the interview with Mark Brownridge from the EIS Association, who are keen to encourage many more advisers to enter the space, and to use the many existing resources and benefits of membership. The featured adviser in this week’s adviser spotlight was Declan McAndrew of Foster Denovo, who gave an insight into the due diligence and suitability processes at the firm within this space, and the advantages of a centralised panel investment function. The first extended episode was wrapped up with an interview with Daniel Rodwell, Managing Director at GrowthInvest, who explained the drivers behind both the platform and the Adviser Hour series.
The Adviser Hour will be broadcast weekly on Thursdays at 1100 until the end of March, and will be available on demand after each episode. Register now at webinars.growthinvest.com
