Daniel founded GrowthInvest in 2015 to address inefficiencies in accessing tax efficient and alternative investments. Prior to this he worked in finance for nearly 20 years. His career began on the LIFFE exchange where he was a market-maker in the UK Equity Options pit, thereafter he managed a mixture of institutional and private funds employing a multi-strategy approach within the European equity derivatives markets. When his company was acquired by Van der Moolen Equities AG, Daniel managed their UK division for several years, reporting directly to the Group CEO. Daniel later co-founded the equity derivatives trading boutique Ten Derivatives LLP, after a number of years he stepped away in order to found GrowthInvest.
Daniel has been an Angel Investor for many years, and mentors a number of high growth businesses, focusing on digital transformation. He is passionate about increasing efficiency in the alternative investment sector, having been a driving force in the digitisation of Open Outcry traded products in the late 1990s.
Daniel spends most of his spare time providing taxi services to his two young boys, then standing on the sidelines or boundaries of various sporting venues. Outside of that, Daniel loves long walks with his wife and dog, preferably ending in a nice pub.
