London, 8th October – GrowthInvest and Iress today announced the completion of an integration that delivers daily portfolio valuations from the GrowthInvest platform directly into Xplan, Iress’ financial planning and practice management software.
For advisers using both systems, the client’s alternative investments now sit alongside every other asset in Xplan, updated daily. No rekeying. No waiting on quarterly manager statements. No separate spreadsheet holding the part of the portfolio that is hardest to value and easiest to get wrong.
Alternatives have long been the blind spot in the advice process, and the reason is data. Valuations arrive from a wide range of fund managers in different formats, on different cycles and to different conventions. Making that usable is not simply a mapping exercise – it requires deep knowledge of the industry, strong relationships with fund managers and technology to be able to execute efficiently, reliably, securely and at scale. GrowthInvest has built its platform around exactly that, consolidating and standardising 100s of funds into a single, consistent record of each client’s holdings, held in its platform and externalised through integrations. It is the reason a daily feed into Xplan is possible at all, and it is what advice firms are looking for when they connect the two systems.
The result is a genuinely complete client picture inside the tools advisers already use every day: cashflow modelling that reflects the whole portfolio, review packs that are accurate on the day they are produced, and a client record that stands up to scrutiny at annual review.
